Q: My privacy is very important to me. How is my personal information treated?
A: We do not share any of the information we collect from you with any party. Period. We only use it to contact you regarding your license tabs or tags and to let you know of information about TabReminder if you opt in to receive that information from us.
Q: Is my account information secure?
A: Yes. We use an encrypted password system to ensure that only those with the correct password can access your account.
Q: How do I find my current tab expiration date for a given vehicle?
A: The expiration date should be on your registration. You can also check the tabs on the vehicle. If they expire sometime in September of 09, you can just set your 3 reminders to remind you before September of 09.
Q: I know I set a reminder for certain days. How come I am not receiving them in my email?
A: TabReminder reminds you to renew your license tabs or tags via email. There could be several reasons you are not getting your reminders.
- Check your email inbox. It may be full.
- Check your spam or junk mail. Your computer might think our emails are junk (although we know they are not…)
- Put TabReminder on your email "accept" list. If you don't know how to do this, ask a friend or the nearest teenager and they will help you.
- If you have multiple email accounts, be sure to check the one you used to sign up with TabReminder.
Q: Why not just use any number of calendars I have to remind me of these important things?
A: We know some people are organized enough put all of the things they need to remember on their calendar and then check them and do them. We also know people who can't seem to manage this in spite of their best efforts. Our TabReminder program sends you three reminders in advance and then sends you a DAY OF and a DAY AFTER reminder as well. For those who aren't as organized as they would like to be…
Q: Can TabReminder remind me to renew my car and boat tabs or tags even if I don't live in Washington State?
A: Yes! While we are based in Seattle, Washington, you can use TabReminder to remind you when your tabs are due regardless of what state you live in.
Q: How do I have TabReminder remind me about my tab renewal for multiple cars and or boats?
A: At this point in time you may set reminders for up to 3 cars, boats, motorcycles, etc. Just log in to your account.
Q: In the past I have had to have an emissions test done before renewing my tabs or tags. How do I know if I will need an emissions test when it comes time to renew my car or boat tabs or tags?
A: Whether or not your need an emissions test depends on the model year of your car. The department of ecology for your state will have information about emissions testing and if your vehicle or vessel will need an emissions test.
